The Kwara State Environmental Protection Agency, has restated its commitment in making sure that hygienic practice prevails across all government sectors in the state.
The General Manager of the agency, Alh. Sa'ad Ayuba Dan-Musa, gave this indication as its agency embarked on environmental sanitation exercise today in his office, at flower garden, Ilorin.
This step according to the general manager was out of quick reaction to the drainage blockage in its immediate environ caused by the recent rainfall. He said the agency could not afford to waste time before necessary step is taken to avoid flooding and depletion of government road.
Similarly, at the early hour today, the general manager alongside the top management staff of the office and the entire staff of the agency took it upon that the entire premises of its agency be thoroughly cleaned to strengthen efforts on its advocacy on total adherence to environmental cleanliness. 
Recall that the office in the recent time had sought for synergy with the state Head of Service in order that the reprobated environmental sanitation exercise would be reawakened in all the Ministries, Departments and Agencies in the state.
It is against this backdrop that the agency deemed it necessary that such a contingent practice kick start from the agency itself, saying that this will serve as a copious example for others to start emulating.
"as government agency who is saddled with the sole responsibility of ensuring that lives of people in the state and its environ are well protected, we can not hesitate to swing into action in curtailing any thing that can pose threats to the life of people and its environ in our dear state. Speaking further, he said, " this exercise as it started today will be a continuous practice on weekly basis as I belief this will serve as good signal to all other Ministries, Departments and Agencies in the state; a revival and awaken medium through which cleaned and habitable environment could be assured.
Ayuba therefore used the medium imploring the entire Ministries, Departments and Agencies to immediately follow the suit, in order that the deliberate efforts of the present administration of Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRasaq on safety and wellbeing of its citizens would be commplemented.
