There was mild drama on Thursday 17th March 2022, during the inauguration of Prof. Charles Soludo as Governor, as the wife of outgoing Governor Willie Obiano, Ebelechukwu was slapped by Mrs Bianca Ojukwu at the event.
Trouble started when Mrs Obiano left her sit to confront Bianca who attended the ceremony. She was angry that Bianca could come to the ceremony despite her several attacks on APGA (All Progressive Grand Alliance).
The incident occurred immediately after Soludo took his oath of office and the dignitaries including Ex-Governor Obiano were already seated when Mrs Obiano stepped in and moved to the front row where the widow of Dim Odumegwu Ojukwu was seated.
The action drew the attention of security agents and some personalities who pulled Mrs Obiano off the hold of Bianca who was visibly livid as it was said that the former First Lady had insulted her with vulgar language.
Professor Soludo expressed worry over the incident, concentrated on his signing of the documents before the state Chief Judge of the state, Justices Onochie Anyachebelu.
Soon after signing, he his inaugural speech stating clearly that “those who want to leave can do so too now. The Anambra we are talking about is a place of law and order”.
